Partner Institutions
The Midwest Solar Training Network is pleased to announce the availability of U.S. Department of Energy funds for Partnering Institutions to develop solar training programs throughout the Midwest.
Financial assistance and support services are available to our Partnering Institutions to develop or expand solar electric training programs, to credential solar programs or instructors, and to integrate solar training into existing programs at their institution. Stipends can be used for professional development, and training materials based on the needs identified in partnering institutions' solar training plans.
If your institution is interested in becoming a Partnering Institution please contact Julie Brazeau at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 715-592-6595 ext. 114.
MSTN develops letters of agreement with training program administrators and/or instructors that lead or support the integration of solar installer training into their school’s academic programs. The Partnering Institution representative should have oversight of instructors, program development authority, and budget responsibilities or be representing a committee with this authority.
Partnership will include a letter of commitment and Solar Training Plan. The Solar Training Plan outlines the institution’s goals with solar training, the standards that they are adhering to/working towards, and their commitment to participate in and support the trainings and events of the MSTN.
Click here to view the Partnering Institution agreement letter and application. Interested institutions should please submit their applications by March 1, 2012.
